Attention Class of 2014:

We are beginning to see requests for appointments for our class of 2014 senior portrait sessions! We plan to limit our ever-popular Ultimate Senior Sessions to 50 sessions again this year so be sure to contact us for a consultation soon.

Also, we are once again having a senior rep/model program for the class of 2014. If you are interested in being a KloosPix Senior Rep please contact us by Sunday March 24, 2013 for consideration to be a part of this exclusive group.

The rep program includes a mini session with KloosPix in the month of April. You will then receive free of charge one 5x7 and four wallets from the mini session shoot. You will also receive 20 custom designed rep cards to pass out to friends. If we receive any of these cards back with a new client then YOU will walk away with special prizes!

If would like to be considered to be part of the 2014 Senior Rep program please send a message by Sunday March 24, 2013 to kloospix@comcast.net with the following information:

Graduating student’s full name
School Name
Hobbies
Sport(s) and/or school group(s) in which you participate
If you have any pets include their names
Parent/guardian email or phone number

Katie will then contact your parent/guardian if you are selected to participate and will provide more information about what will be needed to participate.

Many of you may have asked why you are not seeing images posted on Facebook by me lately. Yes, KloosPix is still going strong but with just a few changes.

My daughter, Katie Kloosterboer has been gradually taking over a lot of the photography work for our family business, KloosPix. Her training has been in the works for about a year now and since the start of football season last fall most of the images you have seen from football to volleyball, to dance, to basketball, to senior and family portraits were captured by Katie or my husband Steve.

Due to my own health issues I had to slow down and take a less active role early last year at which time Steve and I gave Katie the opportunity to take on most of the photography work. Katie has been doing a great job and has learned that she too has a great passion for what Steve and I began nearly three years ago. I am happy to say that Katie decided last fall to continue to provide photography services to our community; you know it's that football family that gets you every time!

Putting the camera down was hard for me because my passion was great (and still is!) and it's just so much fun. I hope for this to be just a short break for me but this is why you have not seen images posted by me and why you may not have seen me around as much as before. However, I do try to tag along with Katie whenever possible and watch the action; lately l get the added opportunity to visit with many of you while she is shooting. I plan to continue to use my passion for photography to mentor/coach Katie as she discovers her own style of photography and until I can be behind the camera again.

Also, Brent Kloosterboer has a new and exciting opportunity ahead of him that has not allowed him the time to attend but a few FHS sporting events this past year; his sports images were always amazing and we will miss his work here but this new opportunity was too great for him to pass up and we wish him great success.

Katie is currently working on our Senior Portrait Rep Program for the Class of 2014 as well as other types of portraits. When she is able, she attends Fraser High School events just as we have done for the past two and half years now; she is even working on getting some Richards Middle School sports in as well. She recently captured a couple boys basketball games at RMS and hopes to cover a few girls basketball games soon.

Katie will post new images now and then on the KloosPix Facebook Page and her own page as well. Additionally, each time she uploads Fraser High School Event Images to the KloosPix website a Tweet with a link to the main FHS Event web page will fire from the new KloosPix Twitter account. She will also use these tools to post information about events or specials KloosPix is planning. Now and then Katie may send emails from the KloosPix website indicating a special offer or other update but we do not want to do this too often as we know all to well how annoying too many emails can be.

Whew time is FLYING! We are still finishing up with our 2012 Seniors as well as lots of parties and everyone loves to have cool photography for their parties. We have been busy with the photo booth at Prom, Fraser ANP, weddings and grad parties as well as creating invites, thank you cards, slide shows and picture collages.

We have also begun meeting with and photographing 2013 grads and look forward to football season which is right around the corner. FHS Football is a major project in the fall for KloosPix and we can't wait for it to begin!

Three hours of our time for your custom photography session which includes studio time for a yearbook image and to capture images with sports equipment and awards. Then we head out to a place of your choice - remember the travel time cuts away at your time allotment. Popular locations have been downtown Mt. Clemens and Detroit Riverwalk as well as Fraser HIgh School, George George Park, Stoney Creek, Fort Fraser and Blossom Heath in St. Clair Shores.

Bring a friend or pet for a couple shots with them if you like, we are also happy to capture and image or two with your parent(s)

April 2012

We ventured out to Heritage Park in Shelby Township on Sunday afternoon to spend some time with a great family, while photographing the kids. It was touch and go while we held out for our set time to be dry! A brother and sister, two brothers, four cousins; what a fun group of kids and we enjoyed that they did not mind if they got a little dirty on the moist grounds. Either did their moms, double bonus. So we ended up with some great shots. Katie behind the camera for the most part, I snapped a few and our always amazing "sherpa" found great spots to set up the poses all while carrying any extra coats for our subjects - Steve is always such a huge help - thanks Steve we simply could not do all this without your unwavering support! This was a great way to start of the month especially right after a mini engagement session the day before.

Fraser vs Cancer

Thank you for purchasing prints of your athletes from the Cancer Games; all profits from those sales will go to the Cancer Foundation on behalf of their event. The total profit came to $217.54.

KloosPix High School Scrapbook

We will soon roll out our new scrapbook plan which will allow for the storage of a limited number of your favorite images from your childs HS events until graduation. Look for more information coming soon. We will have to limit the particpants to 10 students per class.

FRASER vs CANCER

The group Fraser vs Cancer will only be available for purchase for the cause through tomorrow March 18, 2012.

Please remember all profits from sales of these images through the above date will be donated to the Cancer Foundation on behalf of the Fraser Athletes.

To date the amount to be donated has reached $217.54.

This year we will introduce new products that will offer you more custom and unique ways to display your portraits. We will be limiting appointments to 50 seniors this year to ensure we have adequate time to spend with each family to make sure we provide the best possible service to each of you.
